TCS Independent Director Retires from Board 

Tata Consultancy Services said independent director Vijay Kelkar has stepped down from the board upon reaching the retirement age set by the IT services company. Kelkar, a Padma Vibhushan award winner, is an Indian economist and academician. He has been on the board of TCS since 2010. 

Fiserv Appoints Long Time Board Member Glenn Renwick as Chairman

Fiserv appointed Glenn Renwick as Chairman. Renwick has served as an independent director of the company since 2001. Prior to his retirement, he served as president and CEO at Progressive Corp., where he remains chairman.

Ericsson Announces Board Shuffles

The company announced that Jon Fredrik Baksaas, Jan Carlson and Eric A. Elzvik were elected new Board members. It was also noted that the unions have appointed Kjell-Ake Soting, Roger Svensson and Karin Aberg employee representatives in the Board with Torbjorn Nyman, Anders Ripa and Loredana Roslund as deputies.

Motorola Solutions Appoints Joe Tucci to its Board of Directors

Motorola Solutions elected Joe Tucci to board. The former chairman and CEO of EMC Corporation, Tucci led the company through a dramatic transformation and revitalization, moving its business model from a focus on high-end storage platforms into a federation of businesses with leadership in information storage, protection and security, infrastructure virtualization and cloud management and orchestration.  He currently is co-CEO and co-chairman of a Special Purpose Acquisition company, GTY Technology Holdings.

FleetCor Welcomes Well-Known Non-Profit CEO to Board

FleetCor Technologies appointed Hala Moddelmog to its Board of Directors. An accomplished operating executive and non-profit CEO, Moddelmog has served in President and CEO roles for more than 20 years. Moddelmog served as President of Arby’s Restaurant Group, held the CEO position with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and is currently the first female CEO of the metro Atlanta Chamber.

Arista Networks Appoints Former CEO of Citrix Systems to Board 

Arista Networks approved the appointment of Mark Templeton as director. Mark was an executive of Citrix Systems, a global provider of software solutions, from January 1995 until his retirement in October 2015, serving as president, CEO and member of the board. During his tenure, Citrix grew from $15 million to over $3B in revenue, and 9,000 employees. Mark presently serves on the board of directors of Equifax and Keysight Technologies.

Jack Henry & Associates Appoints CEO to Board 

Jack Henry & Associates announced that, President and CEO David Foss, 55, was appointed to the Board of Directors. He was named President of ProfitStars in 2004, President of Jack Henry and Associates in 2014, and CEO in 2016. 

Xerox Announces Chair Changes 

Xerox announced that it Chairman of the Board Ursula M. Burns, 58, retired from the Xerox Board of Directors, and Robert Keegan has been named non-executive chairman. Keegan has been a director since 2010 and formerly served as CEO and president of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (GT).

Fortinet Appoints Amazon Executive Veteran Peter Cohen to Board

Fortinet appointed Peter Cohen to the company’s board of directors. Cohen is a 17-year Amazon executive veteran and founding member of Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he served in senior business and technical roles driving business growth. At AWS, he led strategic direction, product definition and development for several core AWS cloud service offerings. Most recently, he led strategy, acquisition, and investment for AWS. Prior, he built and ran the Amazon Mechanical Turk business.

ON Semiconductor Corporation Announces Chairman Changes

ON Semiconductor announced that its board of directors has elected Alan Campbell to succeed J. Daniel McCranie as chairman of the board. Campbell joined ON Semiconductor’s board in July 2015 and has been a key force in driving company direction and strategy with his financial expertise and over 30 years of industry experience. During his career, Campbell served as CFO at Freescale Semiconductor for over 10 years. During his tenure, Campbell guided Freescale through its IPO in 2004, a leveraged buyout in 2006, and a second public offering of shares in 2011.

Rightmove Appoints easyJet’s CFO as Non-Executive Director

UK's largest online real estate portal and property website Rightmove plc has appointed Andrew Findlay as a non-executive director. Andrew Findlay is the CFO of easyJet plc. Prior to easyJet, Andrew was CFO of Halfords plc, and held senior finance roles at Marks and Spencer, the London Stock Exchange and Cable and Wireless.

Tech Data Combines Chair-CEO Roles; Names Booz Allen Hamilton EVP to Board 

Chairman Steven A. (Steve) Raymund has informed the board of directors that he will not stand for reelection as a board member and will retire as chairman of the board at the end of his term. Tech Data CEO and board member Robert M. (Bob) Dutkowsky will be appointed chairman of the board following Raymund’s retirement, and Charles E. (Eddie) Adair will continue in his role as lead independent director. 

Dutkowsky joined Tech Data in October 2006 as CEO and a member of the company’s board of directors. Since joining the company, he has overseen Tech Data’s strategic growth into new markets, including the data center, cloud, and mobility, as well as new geographies.

Tech Data Corporation announced the nomination of Karen Dahut for appointment to the company's Board of Directors. Dahut serves as an EVP at Booz Allen Hamilton, where she leads the firm's Civil Commercial Group (CCG) and is a member of the Executive Management committee. Prior to that, Dahut was an officer in the U.S. Navy and served as the comptroller for the Navy's premier biomedical research institute.

Proofpoint Names KLA-Tencor CEO Richard Wallace as New Independent Director

Advanced cybersecurity solutions company Proofpoint appointed Richard Wallace as a new independent director. Wallace currently serves as CEO and president and as a member of the board of directors of KLA-Tencor. Wallace began as an applications engineer at KLA Instruments in 1988, and has held various general management positions throughout his 29-year tenure with the company. Earlier in his career, he held positions with Ultratech Stepper and Cypress Semiconductor.

Silicon Labs Appoints Former Freescale CEO Gregg Lowe to its Board of Directors

Silicon Labs, the fabless semiconductor company, reported the appointment of Gregg Lowe to the company's board of directors. Lowe brings more than a decade of executive leadership experience at Freescale Semiconductor and Texas Instruments to his Silicon Labs board position. Lowe served as President and CEO of Freescale from June 2012 until December 2015.

Amaya Goes Through Board Changes 

Amaya nominated two new directors, Peter Murphy and Mary Turner. Murphy is the Founder and Chairman of Wentworth Capital Management. Turner served as President and CEO and board member of Canadian Tire Bank, a subsidiary of Canadian Tire Corporation. 

3D Systems Corporation Appoints New Board Member with Expertise in Aerospace Industry

3D Systems appointed John J. Tracy as a director of the Company. Tracy has more than 37 years of experience in the aerospace industry, most recently as CTO and SVP, Engineering, Operations and Technology at The Boeing Company. Prior to that, he served as VP, Engineering and Mission Assurance for Boeing Integrated Defense Systems and VP Structural Technologies, Prototyping and Quality of Phantom Works at Boeing, after serving in increasing roles at Hercules, McDonnell Douglas and The Boeing Company since 1979.

Cornerstone OnDemand Appoints Couple of New Directors 

Cornerstone OnDemand reported that Steffan Tomlinson, CFO for Palo Alto Networks, and Dean Carter, VP of HR and shared services for Patagonia, have been elected to Cornerstone's board of directors. 

Verifone Names Cisco’s IoT and Applications SVP to Board 

Verifone appointed Rowan Trollope, SVP and general manager of IoT and Applications for Cisco Systems, to its board of directors. Trollope is a 26-year veteran of the enterprise software industry. He joined Cisco in 2012 to lead the re-invention of its collaboration business, and is currently responsible for delivering the company’s internet of things (IoT) technology solutions across multiple market segments. Prior to Cisco, he spent more than 20 years at Symantec, most recently serving as group president overseeing Sales, Marketing and Product Development. 

Q2 Holdings Appoints Spredfast CFO as Board Member

Q2 Holdings added Lynn Atchison, CFO of Spredfast, to its board of directors. Atchison joined Spredfast in February 2017. Prior to Spredfast, Atchison served as the CFO of HomeAway shortly after it was acquired by Expedia. Atchison serves on the Austin Technology Council board of directors. 

Etsy Announces CEO and Chair 

Etsy has appointed Josh Silverman, a director on the Board since November 2016, as CEO. Josh succeeds Chad Dickerson, who will step down as CEO and Chair of the Board of Directors. Josh previously served as President of Consumer Products and Services at American Express. Before American Express, Josh was CEO of Skype, CEO of shopping.com, an eBay company, and held various executive roles at eBay. He was also a co-founder and CEO of Evite and he currently serves on the board of directors of Shake Shack. 

Fred Wilson, who joined the Etsy Board in June 2007 and has served as lead independent director since October 2014, will succeed Chad as Chair of the Board. 

Barracuda Networks Announces Board Resignations 

James J. Goetz and David R. Golob resigned from the Board of cloud connected solutions company Barracuda Networks. Goetz and Golob served nine years and eleven years on the Board, respectively, and through Sequoia Capital and Francisco Partners, respectively, were early investors in the Company. 

Zachary S. Levow, Founder and CTO, also resigned from the Board. Levow will continue his employment with the Company and serve as the CTO. 

Gordon Stitt retired from the Board after serving ten years as a Director, and tendered his resignation. The Board reduced the number of authorized members of the Board from ten to six directors.

Alteryx Names HR Professional to Board

Alteryx, the leader in self-service data analytics, appointed Eileen Schloss to its Board of Directors. Eileen has held executive human resources roles at organizations from global brands in the Fortune 500 such as Apple Computer and Charles Schwab, to high-growth businesses needing to scale. Most recently she was EVP of Human Resources and Real Estate for Medidata Solutions.

ADTRAN Appoints Gregory McCray as Director

ADTRAN, a leading global provider of networking and communications equipment, appointed Gregory McCray, CEO of Alphabet's Access Company, the Alphabet subsidiary that oversees Google Fiber, as a director. McCray is an experienced executive with 30 years of business, marketing, sales, engineering, operations, M&A, management and international experience in the communications technology industry.

Blucora Sees Board Members Alteration

Andrew M. Snyder, who has served as a director of Blucora, the digital finance company, since 2011, informed that he does not plan to stand for re-election to the board. In addition, Steven W. Hooper, who has served as a director of the Company since 2011, plans to retire from the Board. 

Blucora appointed Georganne C. Proctor and Steven Aldrich as Board of Directors. Proctor is the former Chief Financial Officer of TIAA-CREF, serving in that position from 2006 to 2010. Prior to joining TIAA-CREF, she served as EVP of Golden West Financial Corporation from 2003 to 2005. 

Aldrich also served as CEO of Outright, an online bookkeeping service, from 2011 to 2012 when it was acquired by GoDaddy, and as CEO of Posit Science Corporation, a software and services company, from 2008 to 2011.

Bottomline Technologies Appoints AmEx CFO as Director 

Payments firm Bottomline Technologies appointed Paul H. Hough to its Board of Directors. Hough is EVP and Deputy CFO for American Express. 

Cloudera Announces New Board Members 

Cloudera announced the appointments of Kim Hammonds, Member of the Management Board and Group COO at Deutsche Bank, and Mike Stankey, Vice Chairman of Workday to the Cloudera board of directors.

Computer Services Combines CEO-Chair Roles

The board of directors for Computer Services has named John A. Williams, the company’s founder and long-time board chairman, as chairman emeritus. The board also elected Steven A. Powless, the company’s CEO, as its new chairman and named Robert L. Walker as its lead independent director. Williams, who founded the company in 1965, has served as the company’s board chairman since 1979. 

In addition to remaining the company’s CEO, Steve Powless will assume the role of board chairman. He joined the company in 1987, was named president and chief operations officer in 1993, and appointed CEO in 1999. He is only the second person to serve the company as CEO. 

Apptio Appoints Zillow CFO as Director

Business management software as a service firm Apptio increased the size of the Board to eight directors, and appointed Kathleen Philips to serve as a director of the company. Philips has been with Zillow Group since 2010, and has served as Zillow Group's CFO and treasurer since August 2015, chief legal officer since September 2014, and secretary since July 2010. 

Carbonite Announces Board Changes

Carbonite, cloud and hybrid backup service provider announced the election of Marina Levinson, with more than 25 years of corporate leadership experience, as new member of its Board of Directors. Levinson will hold office until 2020, succeeding Jeff Flowers, who co-founded Carbonite in 2005 and retired from the Board after 12 years of service. After serving as the CIO of NetApp and Palm, Levinson founded and is the CEO of CIO Advisory Group.
