Microsoft Appoints New VP for Its Asia Pacific Operations

Microsoft appointed Andrea Della Mattea as its new VP of its Asia Pacific operations. Andrea Della Mattea joins Microsoft from Insight Enterprises. As the new VP of the Asia Pacific region, Della Mattea will lead Microsoft's business across the region, including over 2,000 employees and more than 11,000 Microsoft certified partners.

Intel Reorganizes Senior Management; Promotes Corporate Officers

Diane Bryant, newly appointed Group President of the company's Data Center Group, will take a personal leave of absence. Bryant's leave is expected to last approximately six to eight months. 

Navin Shenoy, SVP and General Manager for the Client Computing Group (CCG), will change roles and assume responsibility for DCG, and Bryant will be appointed to a new position when she returns from her leave. Shenoy was promoted from SVP to EVP. Shenoy is the newly appointed general manager of Intel’s Data Center Group. He joined Intel in 1995.

Dr. Venkata (Murthy) Renduchintala, Group President of the Client and Internet of Things Businesses and Systems Architecture, whose organization includes CCG, will serve as acting head of CCG.

Gregory Bryant was promoted from corporate VP to SVP. He is the general manager of the Client Computing Group. Bryant recently succeeded Shenoy in this role and is responsible for the P&L, strategy and product development. He joined Intel in 1992. 

Sandra Rivera was promoted from corporate VP to SVP. She is general manager of the Network Platforms Group, which is the data center business group charged with providing innovative network technology and products to the market. Rivera joined Intel in 2000.

Cisco Systems Appoints Leaders for Canada and Saudi Arabian Operations

Cisco appointed Rola Dagher as the new president of Cisco Canada. Dagher takes the reins from Bernadette Wightman, who has successfully completed her contract in Canada leading since 2014, and is returning to the UK. Dagher joins Cisco from Dell EMC, where she held a variety of leadership roles in sales, channels, and IT. Most recently, she served as VP and General Manager of the Canadian Infrastructure Solutions Group for Dell EMC. 

Cisco appointed Engineer Haytham AlOhali as managing director for Cisco Saudi Arabia. AlOhali will continue to develop the organisation to ensure it remains one of the most attractive places for top talent in the technology sector. AlOhali succeeds Engineer Abdullah Alswaha, who has recently been appointed Saudi Minister of Communication and Information Technology.

IBM Names New CEO for UK & Ireland

IBM has named Bill Kelleher as Chief Executive of IBM in the UK & Ireland. Bill succeeds David Stokes who moves to become COO for IBM Europe following over four years in the post. Most recently, Kelleher was IBM's Global Managing Director for the Telecom, Media & Entertainment Industry. He is a member of IBM's global Performance Team and the Chairman's Growth &Transformation Team. 

TCS Independent Director Retires from Board; Sees Global Treasury Head Changes 

Tata Consultancy Services said independent director Vijay Kelkar has stepped down from the board upon reaching the retirement age set by the IT services company. Kelkar, a Padma Vibhushan award winner, is an Indian economist and academician. He has been on the board of TCS since 2010. 

The company announced that Suprakash Mukhopadhyay, Global Treasury Head and Company Secretary, will be transferred to Tata Sons. Mukhopadhyay joined the Company in 2008 from Tata Sons as Company Secretary and in 2010 took over the Global Treasury function. 

The board has appointed Rajendra Moholkar as the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer Designate. Moholkar is a seasoned professional having over 20 years of experience in company secretary function.

Accenture Appoints New Leaders for Business Segments

Accenture has appointed Emma McGuigan as group technology officer of its Communications, Media & Technology (CMT) operating group. Her focus will be to define the group's technology strategy, current and future technology partnerships, and emerging technology areas. McGuigan joined the company more than 20 years ago. She has held a number of positions, most recently leading the Accenture Technology business in the UK & Ireland.

Accenture has hired Rafael López as a managing director in its Health & Public Service practice in North America. López joins Accenture from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), where he served as the commissioner of the Administration on Children, Youth and Families. 

Brian Irwin will lead its Industrial Group in North America. Irwin joins Accenture from A. T. Kearney, where he led the automotive and industrial practice for the Americas, and previously co-led A.T. Kearney’s Americas business. 

Adobe Appoints Head of Marketing for India Business 

Adobe appointed Sunder Madakshira as the Head of Marketing for its India business. In his most recent assignment, he was heading the marketing division at EdgeVerve Systems, the product subsidiary of Infosys. Over the last two decades, Madakshira has had a strong track record working with some of the big brands in India including SAP, Wipro, Hindustan Unilever and VISA.  

Salesforce Appoints Chief Communications Officer from Starbucks

Salesforce announced that Corey duBrowa will join the company as EVP and Chief Communications Officer. Most recently duBrowa served as SVP, Global Communications for Starbucks. During his seven-year tenure, he led the development and execution of global communications strategies to enhance and protect the Starbucks brand and corporate reputation as it grew from forty countries to seventy-five.

CTS Ropes in Chevron Exec as General Counsel and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer

Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTS) has roped in Matt Fried rich as EVP, general counsel and chief corporate affairs officer. In his earlier role, Friedrich served as chief corporate counsel at Chevron. Prior to Chevron, he was an equity partner in large international law firms and represented global financial institutions in civil, criminal and regulatory matters. He worked for 14 years with the US Department of Justice in various roles.

eBay Appoints Former Hewlett Packard Enterprise Exec as General Manager for Hong Kong, Taiwan 

eBay has appointed Jenny Hui as its general manager for Hong Kong and Taiwan. In her new role, Hui will be responsible for managing eBay's cross-border trade in marketplace, as well as growing the gross merchandise volume and revenue for the Hong Kong and Taiwan business. Prior to this appointment, Hui worked for eBay as its senior manager, seller management. She has also worked with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Yahoo! and Microsoft. 

Micron Technology Announces New CEO

Micron Technology has appointed Sanjay Mehrotra as president and CEO and a member of the board of directors. Mehrotra succeeds Mark Durcan. Mehrotra was a co-founder of SanDisk and served as its president and CEO from 2011 to 2016. He also initiated and guided a highly successful 17-year joint venture partnership with Toshiba in NAND Flash memory technology development and manufacturing. In addition, he established and ran key manufacturing operations in China, Taiwan, Japan and Malaysia. 

Fiserv Appoints Long Time Board Member Glenn Renwick as Chairman 

Fiserv appointed Glenn Renwick as Chairman. Renwick has served as an independent director of the company since 2001. Prior to his retirement, he served as president and CEO at Progressive Corp., where he remains chairman.

Ericsson Announces Board and Executive Shuffles

The company announced that Jon Fredrik Baksaas, Jan Carlson and Eric A. Elzvik were elected new Board members. It was also noted that the unions have appointed Kjell-Ake Soting, Roger Svensson and Karin Aberg employee representatives in the Board with Torbjorn Nyman, Anders Ripa and Loredana Roslund as deputies.

Ericsson appointed Erik Ekudden as Group CTO and Head of Technology & Architecture. For the past seven years, Ekudden has been responsible for Ericsson's technology strategies and industry activities. He has been based in Silicon Valley, immersing himself in the industry, deepening Ericsson's engagement with strategic customers and partners, and driving a forward-looking research agenda. Ekudden joined Ericsson in 1993, holding various positions within research and development.

Ericsson in Market Area Middle East and Africa has appointed Mathias Johansson as head of Global Customer Unit (GCU) STC and head of Ericsson Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Johansson is now a member of the market area’s leadership team. His most recent appointment in the company was head of Ericsson East Africa where he was responsible for running Ericsson’s business within Ethiopia, Sudan and South Sudan.

Symantec Appoints New SVP of Global Sales and Field Marketing for the Consumer Business

Symantec appointed Fredrik Torstensson as its new SVP of global sales and field marketing for the consumer business. Prior to joining Symantec, Torstensson was the SVP of global sales at Wacom. He also previously served in senior level sales and general manager positions with LifeProof, which was acquired by Otterbox, Comarco Wireless, Kyocera Wireless and Ericsson.

ServiceNow Hires Managing Director, India

ServiceNow has appointed Edgar Dias to the role of Managing Director, India. In this role, Dias will be responsible for leading the Indian team, servicing the rapidly growing customer base, developing business strategy and accelerating the partner ecosystem. Dias joins ServiceNow from Brocade, where he led the Indian and SAARC business. Prior to Brocade, Dias worked at Juniper and Nortel Networks.

Hexagon Appoints Chief Strategy Officer from Capital Markets Industry

Global IT giant Hexagon appointed Ben Maslen as Hexagon's Chief Strategy Officer. Maslen has over 15 years of experience in the capital markets industry including being co-head of the European Capital Goods equity research team at Morgan Stanley. Prior to Morgan Stanley, he was an equity analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers. 

Red Hat Appoints Acting CFO to the Role Permanently

Red Hat announced that Eric Shander has been named the company’s EVP and CFO. Shander most recently served as Red Hat’s acting CFO, and VP and chief accounting officer.

Capgemini Announces Management Changes

Capgemini confirmed a number of Group leadership appointments. Jean-Philippe Bol, formerly Deputy Head of Application Services Two1 becomes Head of the Cloud Infrastructure Services Strategic Business Unit, reporting to Salil Parekh, Group Executive Board member and Chairman of the North America Executive Council. Jean-Philippe will continue to serve on Capgemini's Group Executive Committee2 (GEC). 

John Mullen, formerly Head of Insurance for Capgemini's Financial Services Global Business Unit, becomes Head of Application Services in North America and joins the GEC. John replaces Tim Bridges who is now Global Head of the Consumer Products, Retail and Distribution (CPRD) Unit. Both John and Tim report to Salil Parekh. 

Cyril Garcia becomes Head of Digital Services for the Group, replacing Dee Burger who will now lead the Digital practice for Application Services in North America reporting to John Mullen. Cyril retains responsibility for the Capgemini Consulting Strategic Business Unit and his place on the GEC. He will continue to report to Olivier Sevillia, Group Executive Board member. 

Finally, Christine Hodgson has been appointed head of Group Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) and joins the GEC. In this strategic position for the Group, Christine will chair the Capgemini CSR board and will report to Hubert Giraud, Group Executive Board member. Christine also retains her UK country board chairwoman role. 

STMicroelectronics Promotes COO to Deputy CEO

STMicroelectronics appointed Jean-Marc Chery as Deputy CEO. Chery currently serves as COO and, in his new role, he will continue to report to Carlo Bozotti, ST's President and CEO. In this new role, Chery will hold overall responsibility for Technology and Manufacturing as well as for Sales and Marketing.

Motorola Solutions Appoints Joe Tucci to its Board of Directors

Motorola Solutions elected Joe Tucci to board. The former chairman and CEO of EMC Corporation, Tucci led the company through a dramatic transformation and revitalization, moving its business model from a focus on high-end storage platforms into a federation of businesses with leadership in information storage, protection and security, infrastructure virtualization and cloud management and orchestration.  He currently is co-CEO and co-chairman of a Special Purpose Acquisition company, GTY Technology Holdings.

FleetCor Welcomes Well-Known Non-Profit CEO to Board; Creates North America Local Fuel Card Business Role

FleetCor Technologies appointed Hala Moddelmog to its Board of Directors. An accomplished operating executive and non-profit CEO, Moddelmog has served in President and CEO roles for more than 20 years. Moddelmog served as President of Arby’s Restaurant Group, held the CEO position with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and is currently the first female CEO of the metro Atlanta Chamber.

Ashley Thekkekara joined as head of the Company’s newly created North America local fuel card business. He replaces Todd House, who announced his intention to resign. Thekkekara joined FLEETCOR in 2009 and has most recently been in charge of the overall STP transformation initiative. Prior to that, he was SVP of global credit and rate management. Before joining FLEETCOR he was VP of Marketing and Analytics at Axiant.

CA Hires GM of Global Services and Education from AppDynamics 

CA Technologies announced addition of Billy O’Riordan as general manager of Global Services and Education. O’Riordan joins CA from AppDynamics, where he was responsible for the successful delivery of the company’s global services. Prior to AppDynamics, O’Riordan spent six years at BMC where he led their professional and education services across EMEA and APJ regions.

Seagate Technology’s Cloud Systems Leader to Leave

Seagate Technology plc announced that Philip G. Brace, President, Cloud Systems and Silicon Group, will leave the company. Brace will remain with the company for an interim period in order to assist with the transition of his responsibilities.

Juniper Networks Appoints EMEA Business Leader from Brocade

Juniper Networks has appointed Marcus Jewell as SVP and general manager for its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) business. Jewell joins Juniper from Brocade Communications, where he most recently ran the EMEA business and was also the global head of the company's software sales.

Arista Networks Appoints Former CEO of Citrix Systems to Board 

Arista Networks approved the appointment of Mark Templeton as director. Mark was an executive of Citrix Systems, a global provider of software solutions, from January 1995 until his retirement in October 2015, serving as president, CEO and member of the board. During his tenure, Citrix grew from $15 million to over $3B in revenue, and 9,000 employees. Mark presently serves on the board of directors of Equifax and Keysight Technologies.
