Alibaba Health Information Technology Announces Retirement of Executive Director and Executive Vice Chairman           

Alibaba Health IT announced that Chen Xiao Ying, 53, retired from office as an executive Director and the executive vice chairman of the company. Ying has been the Executive Chairman at the Pollon Group, a private investment group, since 1989. Chen served as the CEO of Alibaba Health Information Technology Limited 2014.

Inovalon Appoints Former Accenture CEO and Chair as Board Member 

Inovalon, cloud-based analytics & data-driven platforms for healthcare industry, announced that William D. Green has joined the company's Board of Directors. He is an experienced leader with outstanding management and operating experience. He is former CEO and Chairman of Accenture. Green also serves on the Board of Directors for S&P Global and serves as Lead Director of EMC Corporation’s Board of Directors.

Former President of the Genetic Science Division of Thermo Fisher Scientific Joins Orion Health’s Board

Orion Health, the global healthcare platform advancing integration, population health management and precision medicine solutions, appointed Ronald Andrews as an independent director. Andrews has close to 30 years in governance and executive roles in the US Clinical and Molecular Diagnostics industry. He has extensive experience working with the US government in Washington and speaks regularly to industry groups. He served as the President of the Genetic Science Division for Thermo Fisher Scientific until December 2014.

Castlight Health Makes Board and Leadership Changes

Castlight Health, the health benefits platform that simplifies strategic healthcare management for employers and their employees, reported that technology industry leader Kenny Van Zant has joined its Board of Directors. Most recently, Kenny Van Zant was the Head of Business at Asana, the creator of cloud-based SaaS project management tools, where he led all business functions, including sales, marketing, customer support and finance.

Bryan Roberts, PhD, co-founder of Castlight and general partner at Venrock, remains Castlight's Chairman of the Board.

Castlight Health hired veteran technologist Neeraj Gupta as SVP of engineering. Neeraj brings more than 20 years of software engineering experience. Before joining Castlight, he was SVP for product and engineering at Apcera. Prior to that, he was SVP for product and engineering at Appcelerator.

Cogstate Announces Company Secretary Changes    

Leading cognitive science company Cogstate named Cindy Tilley as acting Company Secretary. Cindy recently joined Cogstate to replace Abby Moore as acting Finance Manager and Company Secretary. Cindy has over 16 years' experience in finance and accounting, serving at Lend Lease where she held senior finance roles spanning 15 years and most recently as Group Financial Controller and Company Secretary for Probuild.

Instem Hires Global Sales Leader from LabVantage Solutions         

Life science software firm Instem announced that Jerry Hacker has joined its leadership team as SVP, Global Sales. Prior to joining Instem, Hacker was SVP Worldwide Sales at LabVantage Solutions, where he helped drive record revenue growth for their Laboratory Information Management Systems while greatly increasing productivity of his sales teams.

Adherium Announces Multiple Leadership Changes 

New Zealand based digital health technology company Adherium named Thomas Lynch new Chairman, and Dr. Doug Wilson as Adherium's executive Medical Director. Lynch serves as a non-executive director of GW Pharma.

Dr. Wilson is stepping down from the board, moving to a part-time executive role as Adherium's Medical Director, where he will work closely with the management team to assist in steering the Company's clinical development and strategic path for the next phase of growth.

Adherium announced that San Francisco Bay Area office will serve as the company's North American commercial hub led by James Hattersley, SVP Business Development, North America.

Adherium appointed its new COO, Ross Bradding, and a new Head of Corporate Development, Julia Chambers. Ross joins Adherium from First NZ Capital.

Connecture Names SVP of Payer Solutions   

Online health insurance distributor Connecture announced that Jean Landsverk has joined the company as SVP of Payer Solutions. Landsverk previously served as SVP of the National and Blue Cross Blue Shield Markets for Trizetto/Cognizant, and has led divisions for a wide variety of top corporations, including Coca Cola, Western Union, First Data Corp, ARAMARK and Xerox ACS over her 29-year career.

Streamline Health Chief Legal Counsel Steps Down

Streamline Health Solutions, the provider of knowledge management solutions for healthcare providers, announced that Jack W. Kennedy Jr. departed from his position as SVP, Administration, Chief Legal Counsel and Corporate Secretary of the company. Prior to joining Streamline Health, Kennedy was Vice President and Corporate Counsel for PRGX Global.

Certive Solutions Appoints COO and VP of Sales

Certive Solutions, that provides revenue cycle management solutions to the U.S. health care market, hired Brian Diver as its COO. Most recently, Diver served as the Managing Director of Instant Technology, and was responsible for expanding their staffing and service business.

Michael Groeger joined the company as VP of sales. Groeger comes to Certive from United Healthcare having spent the last eight years as the National Director of Private Equity Distribution of Commercial Products.

Rennova Health CFO Leaves

Supportive software solutions provider to healthcare industry Rennova Health and Jason Adams, CFO, agreed that he would be leaving the Company to pursue other interests. The Company will name an interim principal financial and accounting officer to replace Adams.

DATATRAK Appoints Autodesk Exec as New Independent Director          

eClinical solutions firm DATATRAK International appointed Eric J. Wilhelm to the Board of Directors. Dr. Wilhelm has founded several companies including the project-sharing community Instructables (acquired by Autodesk), high-altitude wind power company Makani Power (acquired by Google), the innovation and design partnership Squid Labs, and companies working on portable energy generation and health care. His is now the Vice President of Hardware and Communities at Autodesk.

WebMD Health Services Taps CTO from Premise Health

Trusted digital health and medical information provider WebMD Health Services announced Jacob Sims has joined the company as CTO. Sims most recently served as VP of Development and Technology at Premise Health, where he was responsible for driving all aspects of engineering, including development, quality assurance, data acquisition & integration, user experience & design, product strategy, and product delivery.

Verisk Health Names CEO from Accretive Health   

Verisk Health, provider of data analytics for healthcare industry, announced that Dr. Emad Rizk has been named CEO. Dr.  Emad Rizk is a seasoned and renowned healthcare industry senior executive with over 25 years of experience working closely with Payers and Government entities. Dr. Rizk joins Verisk Health from Accretive Health where he served as CEO and as a member of its Board of Directors.
