Recruitments at SAP Subsidiaries

SAP AG announced the appointment of Christoph Kollatz to EVP, SAP of HANA. Prior to joining SAP, Kollatz was CEO of Siemens IT Solutions and Services, leading a EUR 5 billion organization with approximately 38,000 people. He began his professional career at Siemens in 1989 in internal management consulting. During his tenure with the company, he led a variety of businesses in different areas, including the Siemens Power Generation Group, Siemens Business Services, and the Siemens I&S Group. 

Sybase announced that the company has appointed John Sims as President of its mobile services business, Sybase 365. Sims joins Sybase from 724 Solutions, a mobile broadband products company where he spent almost a decade as CEO. He was also co-founder, CEO, and President of TANTAU Software, a global provider of secure, mobile eCommerce solutions to enterprises. Prior to co-founding TANTAU, John served as COO of SCC Communications, a telecommunications support service company. He has also held several management positions at Tandem Computers and at Burroughs Corporation.

New CFO at CA

CA Technologies announced that Richard Beckert, 49, has been promoted to EVP & CFO. Beckert is succeeding Nancy Cooper, 56, who recently announced her retirement. Beckert joined CA in 2006 as SVP, Strategic Pricing & Offerings and went on to become SVP & Corporate Controller in 2008. Prior to CA he held senior executive positions at IBM.

MD, Pacific Region at ACI Worldwide

ACI Worldwide, developer of e-payment and electronic funds transfer (EFT) software announced the appointment of banking technology specialist James Farrell to the role of MD of the Pacific region, covering Australia and New Zealand. He will report to Jeremy Wilmot, ACI's president for Asia Pacific.

Leading Industry Analyst Joins Talent Management Software Company

Cornerstone OnDemand announced that Jason Corsello is joining the company as VP of Corporate Development and Strategy. Corsello joins Cornerstone from HR consulting firm Knowledge Infusion where he was SVP of Strategy and Corporate Development, responsible for the organization's strategy and solutions. Prior to his role with Knowledge Infusion, Jason was a Research Director at Yankee Group, leading the company's human capital management and talent management advisory and consulting services. He also spent six years with Flextronics International, where he worked with clients to develop their outsourced manufacturing and supply chain strategies.

Human Capital Management Software Company Hires COO

Saba, a Human Capital Management Software developer, announced the appointment of Shawn Farshchi, 52, as COO. Most recently, he served as COO for the IBM company Coremetrics, a market leader in digital marketing and web analytics. Prior to Coremetrics, Farshchi was regional VP at Oracle, Senior VP Development at Broadvision, and CIO at DHL Airways.

Former HP & Symantec Executives at Network Storage Management Software Company

FalconStor Software, a disk-based data protection solutions company, announced that it hired former HP executive Donna Williams as VP of Worldwide Technical Support. Additionally, former Symantec executive Abbas Meghjee has been named the VP of North American sales operations. Prior to joining FalconStor, Williams was HP’s Director of software support delivery. Most recently, Meghjee was Director of sales for inside sales organizations at Symantec.

GlobalSCAPE Taps Multi-industry experienced CFO

GlobalSCAPE, a content & document management software company, announced the appointment of Randall Hawkins as its CFO. Prior to joining GlobalSCAPE, Hawkins was VP of Finance with Keystone Directories, a capital investment firm portfolio company. Before that, he served as CFO of Homann Tire. He also served as International Finance Officer for Cooper Industries, a Fortune 100 multinational manufacturing conglomerate.

RealNetworks Promotes Company Veteran

Digital media software and services company RealNetworks announced that Scott Uomoto has been promoted to the position of SVP. Uomoto oversees the company's sales, marketing, and operations for its RealPlayer, SuperPass and Helix lines of business. Prior to joining Real, he held positions at various start-ups including Network Commerce and TechWave.

Departures and Arrivals at THQ

THQ announced that veteran PR Executive Angela Emery has been named VP of Corporate Communications. Emery comes to THQ after eight years at Disney Interactive Studios where, as VP, she led global communications for the interactive entertainment division of The Walt Disney Company. Emery's career includes various executive roles at major game publishers, including Microsoft Game Studies, Fox Interactive and Sega of America.

Julie MacMedan, VP of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications, will be leaving the company to pursue a new opportunity.

Industry heavyweight Patrice Desilets has joined the THQ studio system as a Creative Director. Before joining THQ, Desilets served as a Creative Director on the Assassin's Creed and Prince of Persia franchises.

Media Software Company Names New VP & Senior National Account Executive

Chyron announced the appointment of Sim Kolliner as VP of Professional Services. Prior to this, Kolliner was the head of the professional services group at Harris BCD, a television and radio broadcast systems manufacturer and developer. Kolliner has been an engineering manager since 1977 and has worked for leading media companies including Leitch Technology, Ziff Davis Broadcasting, Post Newsweek Stations, Cox Broadcasting, Pulitzer Broadcasting, and NBC.

Brian Spiers has been selected as the Senior National Account Executive within the company’s North America sales team. He most recently served as VP Sales, North America at Digital Broadcast. He has previously held senior management positions, including Sales Manager for Canada at Tektronix and Sales Director for Central US & Canada at Grass Valley.
