CVS Health, Rhode Island, December 2017 - CVS Health CIO Stephen Gold left the company to pursue professional opportunities outside CVS Health.

Nordstrom, Washington, January 2017 - Nordstrom plans to hire a new CTO by the end of the year, who will be responsible for all aspects of technology, after the CIO and CTO both left early this year.

The AES Corporation, Virginia, June 2017 - SVP & CIO Elizabeth Hackenson departed from the company. No announcements on new CIO yet.

The Western Union Company, Colorado, November 2017 - J. David Thompson, EVP, Global Operations and Technology, CTO, of The Western Union Company resigns to pursue other business opportunities. Sheri Rhodes, CTO, Global Payments and Digital, will serve as Acting CTO until the Company names a permanent successor.

Deloitte, Illinois, December 2016 - Deloitte is looking for a CISO reporting to the CIO.

Avaya, Texas, November 2017 - Avaya is looking for a CISO is responsible for identifying, evaluating and reporting IT, and cybersecurity risk to Avaya and Avaya related information assets, while supporting and advancing business objectives.

Rent-A-Center, Texas, November 2017 - Angela Yochem plans to step down as CIO of Rent-A-Center at the end of the year, taking the newly created role of chief digital officer at Novant Health in January. Rent-A-Center is seeking a successor for the CIO post.

Equifax, Georgia, September 2017 - CIO David Webb and Chief Security Officer Susan Mauldin are leaving after the data breach. Mark Rohrwasser has been appointed interim CIO and Russ Ayres has been appointed interim Chief Security Officer.

Groupon, Illinois, January 2018 - Jay Sullivan notified Groupon of his decision to resign as Chief Product Officer, in order to pursue new opportunities. The Product Management teams will report to COO Steve Krenzer who will assume Mr. Sullivan's responsibilities on an interim basis until the Company appoints a permanent replacement.

Teradata, California, November 2017 - Teradata is seeking a VP, Global Cyber Security (CISO), who will lead the Company’s Cyber Security Team to coordinate business outcomes and strategic value capture.

E*TRADE, New York, September 2017 - Michael Foley, EVP and Chief Technology and Operations Officer, is leaving E*TRADE to pursue other opportunities.

Twitter, California, December 2016 - Twitter's CTO Adam Messinger left.  *no replacement announced. It is unclear the company is looking for a CTO.

Allegiant Travel Company, Nevada, December 2017 - Allegiant Travel Company announced that Scott Allard has resigned his position as EVP and CIO. Robert Wilson, SVP, information systems, will act as interim CIO until a successor is selected.

Splunk, California, January 2018 - Richard Campione, the company’s Chief Product Officer, entered into a Transition Plan and Release Agreement pursuant to which Mr. Campione’s employment with the company will terminate on January 31, 2018.

InterDigital, Delaware, January 2018 - Dr. Byung K. Yi, will retire as EVP and CTO – B.K. Yi joined InterDigital in 2014. 

Shutterstock, New York, July 2017  - David Giambruno, the Company’s CIO, will be leaving the Company.

Global Eagle Entertainment, California, November 2016 - Global Eagle Entertainment and Aditya Chatterjee, the company’s CTO, have entered into a Separation and Release Agreement.

Inovalon, Maryland, April 2017 - Joseph R. Rostock’s employment as the Inovalon Holdings’s CTO ended.

Paycom Software, Oklahoma, November 2017 - William X. Kerber III, Paycom’s CIO, departs. Two of Paycom’s senior technology leaders, Brad Smith and Shane Hadlock, will work together to assume Kerber’s responsibilities until his successor is named.

StarTek, Colorado, October 2015 - Kamalesh Dwivedi, the company's CIO, left the company.

Mastech Digital, Pennsylvania, March 2016 - Denis D. Deet ceased to be VP of Technology and CIO of Mastech.

Neos Therapeutics, Texas, June 2017 - Juergen A. Martens, the Chief Technology and Operations Officer of Neos Therapeutics, will be resigning from his position.

Inpixon, California, September 2017 - Inpixon announced resignation of Craig Harper as CTO.

TMAC Resources, Ontario, Canada, January 2018 - Gordon Morrison is retiring as President and CTO, and will immediately transition to the part time role of Executive Advisor effective January 1, 2018.

United States Department of Defense, Washington, D.C., January 2017 - Terry Halvorsen, who as the Pentagon’s CIO, retired. Current principal deputy CIO, John Zangardi, is expected to step in as acting CIO.

NASA, Washington D.C., May 2017 - Michael Witt, who joined NASA in February, will become acting senior agency information security officer, replacing Jeanette Hanna-Ruiz.

University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma, June 2017 - Oklahoma Eddie Huebsch has been named interim CIO at the University of Oklahoma. Huebsch has served OU IT for more than 16 years in a variety of leadership roles, most recently as associate VP of technology advancement.

University of California, California - University of California, San Diego, is looking for a CTO and Director of Enterprise Computing who will lead the Office of Engineering Computing (OEC), a comprehensive IT organization providing administrative and academic IT services both to the School and other campus units.

Huawei Technologies, Massachusetts - Huawei Technologies is seeking a CTO - Enterprise Storage, for Massachusetts location to lead the development of the storage strategy and roadmap; ensure its integration with the enterprises strategic planning and process, as well as the resulting business strategy and plans.

SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium, Alaska, Deceber 2017 - SEARHC is seeking a new CIO that will create a best in class, IT division.

BioDelivery Sciences International, North Carolina, January 2018 - Niraj Vasisht, the company's SVP and CTO, is voluntarily retiring from the company.

Biotest, Florida, January 2018 - Stuart Kippelman has taken on the temporary role of Interim CIO at a pharmaceutical company called Biotest.

Europe, Middle East & Africa 

Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson, Sweden, January 2018 - Ulf Ewaldsson, currently head of Business Area Digital Services will leave the Executive Team. Jan Karlsson, currently head of Solution Area BSS, will step in as acting head of Business Area Digital Services.

Liberty Global plc, United Kingdom - Balan Nair, currently Chief Technology & Innovation Officer for Liberty Global, will assume the position of President and CEO of its Latin American and Caribbean operation once the split-off from Liberty Global occurs, which is expected around the end of the year. Mr. Nair will remain in his current position with Liberty Global until the split-off is completed, and a search is already underway for his successor.

Eskom Holdings SOC, South Africa, January 2018 - The temporary suspension of Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd.'s CIO, Mr. Sean Maritz, has now been converted to a permanent suspension pending an investigation into allegations of impropriety.

Topdanmark, Denmark, February 2018 - Marianne Wier resigns as CIO. 

Provident Financial, United Kingdom, February 2018 - Provident Financial Group has appointed Steve Grigg, as interim Group Chief Information & Technology Officer. 

Asia Pacific 

Tata Motors, India, September 2017 - CTO Tim Leverton has resigned and will continue in the position until 31 October, and his successor will be announced in due course.

Zhongyuan Bank, China, December 2017 - Zhang Bin has resigned as an executive director, the VP, the CIO due to adjustment of his work arrangement.

Cheetah Mobile, China, December 2017 - The company announced that Mr. Charles Fan will resign as CTO of the Company for personal reasons.

Roxas Holdings, Philippines, January 2018 - Roxas Holdings announced the resignation of Earl Eric Nestor H. Ferrer as VP of Information and Communication Technology.

Oceanus Group, Singapore - Tan Kim Chuan Matthew stepped down as Chief Risk Officer and CTO of the company. 

Latin America and Caribbean

TOTVS S.A., Brazil - TOTVS approved the resignation tendered by the CTO, Mr. André Bretas Nunes de Lima.

Intel Corporation, California - Dr. Michael Mayberry was promoted to SVP and Intel’s CTO from corporate VP. He is also the MD of Intel Labs. 

Cox Enterprises, Georgia - Cox Enterprises promoted Andre Reese to VP of Information Systems Operations. Former AVP of Information Systems Operations. Joined in 2004 from Prudential.

Mastercard, New York - Mastercard named JoAnn Stonier as chief data officer. Former global privacy & data protection officer.

eBay, California - eBay has hired Jan Pedersen as VP and chief scientist, Artificial Intelligence (AI). Pedersen's most recent position was VP of data science at Twitter.

CNA Financial Corporation, Illinois - Bahr Omidfar has been hired as SVP and CTO. Omidfar joined CNA from Fidelity Investments, most recently serving as SVP, Technology and Software Security.

SunTrust Banks, Georgia - SunTrust Banks announced that Anil Cheriyan will retire as CIO, succeeded by Scott Case. Case served in senior technology positions with Bank of America for 15 years prior to joining SunTrust in April 2015.

Ryder System, Florida - Ryder System appointed Rajeev Ravindran to the position of CIO. Prior to this position, Mr. Ravindran was the CIO and Group VP at JM Enterprises, where he was with the company since 2003 and held the position for the last six years.
Ravindran replaces Mel Kirk, who has joined Ryder’s Fleet Management Solutions (FMS) team as CTO.

Ralph Lauren, New York - Ralph Lauren Corporation appointed Alice Delahunt as Chief Digital Officer. Most recently at Burberry, where she served as Director of Digital Marketing and led digital innovation on social media platforms globally.

NetApp, California - NetApp appointed Brad Anderson as the SVP and GM of the NetApp Cloud Infrastructure business unit. Comes from HP.

Polaris Industries, Minnesota - Polaris Industries announced that Mike Donoughe will join Polaris as chief technical officer (CTO). Most recently, Donoughe was a founding partner and principal of Third Shore Group.
Donoughe succeeds Steve Kemp, current VP and CTO, who is taking on a new role at Polaris as VP of Technology, Electronics & Software.

Advanced Micro Devices, California - AMD appointed David Wang as SVP of engineering to run the Radeon Technologies Group (RTG). Wang most recently hails from Synaptics, where he was SVP of Systems Silicon Engineering.

Williams-Sonoma, California - Williams-Sonoma (WSM) announced that it has appointed Yasir Anwar as the company's new CTO. Anwar most recently served as CTO at Macy's.

Restaurant Brands International, Ontario, Canada - Restaurant Brands International announced the appointment of Josh Kobza as Chief Technology and Development Officer. Mr. Kobza previously served as RBI's CFO.

Cooper-Standard Holdings, Michigan - Cooper Standard appointed Jeffrey A. DeBest to the newly created position of president, advanced technology group. Prior to joining Cooper Standard, DeBest served as COO of APM Terminals B.V.

WestJet Airlines, Alberta, Canada - WestJet announced Alfredo C. Tan as Chief Digital and Innovation Officer.Alfredo joins WestJet as a former Facebook and Instagram Executive in Canada, where he was a founding team member in early 2009.

Equifax, Georgia - Equifax announced that it has named Jamil Farshchi to serve as its Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Farshchi previously served as CISO at The Home Depot.

Cabot Corporation, Massachusetts - Cabot Corporation appointed Dr. Patricia Hubbard as SVP and CTO. Most recently she was VP of R&D for Avery Dennisons Label and Graphic Materials division in North America.

F5 Networks, Washington - Kara Sprague, in the new role of SVP, GM of Application Delivery Controller (ADC).  Kara Spraguejoins F5 from McKinsey and Company, where most recently she led the Technology, Media, and Telecom Practice for the Western Region.
Ram Krishnan, in the new role of SVP, GM of Security. He joins F5 from CloudPassage, where he was the Chief Product Officer of their SaaS-based cloud workload security solution.

Standard Insurance Company, Oregon - Standard Insurance Company announced that Kerry Goff has been promoted to assistant VP of Information Technology Enterprise Services. Goff joined The Standard in 2014 as senior director of Infrastructure Architecture and Engineering.

NeuStar, Virginia - Neustar appointed Kenneth Ewell as VP of Customer Success for its Analytics Solutions. Previously, he was SVP of Worldwide Professional Services at Aspect.

Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services, Florida - Innovation growth strategist Dan Sachar named VP of Enterprise Innovation. Prior to joining Ladenburg, Mr. Sachar served as Founder and Principal of Nextt Advisors.

Sotheby's, New York - Richard Vibert, a data scientist recently appointed Head of Data & Analytics Strategy. Joined Sotheby's from the Hong Kong venture capital firm Arbor Ventures.

Choice Hotels International, Maryland - Choice Hotels International announced the promotion of Brian Kirkland to the position of CTO. He previously served as VP of engineering.

The Buckle, Nebraska - Robert J. Harbols has been appointed VP of Information Technology. Most recently as Senior Director of Information Technology since February 2016.

Liberty Utilities, Arizona - Liberty Utilities Co. announced that Brent Baker has been named VP of Customer Experience for the company. Baker became VP of Customer Experience - Central Region in January 2017. 

Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, Florida - SVP & CIO Terrence Gee has been promoted to the new role of SVP, Technology and Enterprise Transformation. 

PGT Innovations, Florida - PGT Innovations announced that Ted Rock has joined the company as SVP of Shared Services and Commercial, to oversee information technology (IT), strategic purchasing, field service, PGTI’s commercial division, as well as provide support for future acquisitions. Fomer COO for Atrium Corporation.

ProQuest, Michigan - Roger Valade has been promoted to CTO. Valade was VP of media and engagement at Interlochen Center for the Arts.

IDEAL Industries, Illinois - IDEAL Industries announced the hiring of Jeff Miller, a former Motorola Mobility corporate executive, as the Group President, Technology Group.

Cloudera, California - Cloudera announced that Amy O'Connor has been promoted to Chief Data and Information Officer (CDIO). O'Connor joined Cloudera in 2013 and has since been leading Cloudera's team of industry experts and business value consultants.

NCI, Virginia - NCI announced Brad Mascho has joined the company as chief artificial intelligence officer (CAIO). Before joining NCI, Mascho co-founded CrossChx.

8x8, California - 8x8 appointed Dr. Ali Arsanjani as VP of AI and Machine Learning. Arsanjani was formerly the Founder and CTO of Analytics and Machine Learning at Deep Context, a deep-learning startup.

ViON Corporation, Virginia - ViON Corporation appointed Ed Stockton as the new VP of Services. Prior to becoming VP of Services, Mr. Stockton served as ViON’s Business Development Director for Federal Civilian Agencies.

Ribbon Communications, Massachusetts - Ribbon Communications reported that it has appointed Tony Scarfo as EVP of Products and Research & Development (R&D. Scarfo served as Sonus' EVP of Technology and Business Development from 2013 to 2016.

J.D. Power and Associates, California - Dr. Seongjoon Koo, an accomplished technology innovator, has been named to the newly created position of Chief Data Officer at J.D. Power. 

Union Bank & Trust, Virginia - Union Bank & Trust announced that it has named Sara O. Rountree as SVP and Head of Digital Strategy. Rountree, 39, joins Union from Wells Fargo where she was VP, Credit Card Emerging Payments – Payments Security. 

Cass Information Systems, Missouri - Cass Information Systems selected James Cavellierto fill the newly created position of CIO. Cavellier was a domain CIO for payment and wealth management technologies within Comerica Bank.

Donatos Pizzeria, Ohio - Donatos Pizza hired Kevin Myers as Chief Marketing and Information Officer (CMIO). EVP of marketing and sales at global retail food leader Cold Stone Creamery. 

Everbridge, Massachusetts - Everbridge announced that Jim Totton as EVP of Product Management, Engineering and Operations. Totton joins Everbridge from Red Hat, where he served as VP and GM for the company’s Platform Business Unit.

iProspect, Massachusetts - iProspect appointed Joel Grossman as its first-ever CTO. Grossman served as CTO for Leapfrog Online, a performance marketing solutions company acquired in 2017 by iProspect.

Veritas Technologies, California - Veritas Technologies appointed Jonathan Alboum as CTO, Public Sector. His tenure includes serving as the CIO of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

North American Risk Services, Florida - North American Risk Services has hired Patrick Fletcher as its CIO. Most recently, he served in Chief Information and Technology Officer roles at two large school districts in Florida, building the people, processes and technology necessary to create 21st century learning environments.

TheStreet, New York - TheStreet announced that industry veteran Wade Anderson has been named VP of Product. Anderson joins TheStreet from Major League Soccer, where he was Director, Product Management and responsible for digital solutions for all 23 MLS Clubs.

Bond Brand Loyalty, Ontario, Canada - Jason Chomik has joined Bond as VP of Technology. His most recent experience includes the custom development of a new loyalty platform for one of North America's retailers. 

Fox Networks Group, California - Fox Networks Group announced that Jeff Hughes has been promoted to President of its Digital Consumer Group. Hughes previously served as President of Technology and Innovation for DCG.

Airgain, California - Airgain appointed Farrukh Usmani as VP of Engineering. Prior the was at Qualcomm, where he most recently served as a VP in the consumer technologies, ASIC system test, reference design and Atheros divisions.

Cylance, California - Cylance announced the promotion of Greg Silberman to Chief Privacy Officer. Prior to joining Cylance in 2016, he was a partner in the Cybersecurity, Privacy and Data Protection practice group in the Silicon Valley office of Jones Day.

Triad Digital Media, Florida - Triad Retail Media appointed Joe Henson to the position of SVP of Products & Platform. Henson most recently was Group VP of Product Platform and Technology at Catalina Marketing.

Electronic Payment Providers, Arizona - Melissa Kirk has been promoted to CIO. Melissa has been with BillingTree for five years and in her tenure, has successfully championed organization wide, strategic technology transformation.

uShip, Texas - uShip announced Kris Lamb has joined the company as CTO. Previously Lamb served as VP and GM of cloud security at Austin-based Forcepoint.

Pacific Coast Bankers' Bank, California - Shiva Sandy, CTIO, will lead technology initiatives at PCBB, including a digital transformation that has been underway for the past few years. Shiva brings outstanding technical leadership with almost 20 years of experience from both the high tech sector and financial industry. 

Dynex Power, Ontario, Canada - Dynex Power appointed Dr. Keith Ferguson as the company's CTO. Dr. Ferguson joins Dynex from Teledyne-e2v, where he most recently held the position of President of its RFPower Defence division.

DEMANDBASE, California - Fatima Khan has joined the company as its first Chief Privacy Officer. Khan was most recently the VP, Legal at global advertising network, Airpush. 

Sentry Management, Florida - Collin Bruner has been promoted to SVP, Information and Technology. Collin started with Sentry in 2005. He was promoted to Regional VP of the Atlantic region in 2017.

VersaBank, Ontario, Canada - VersaBank hired Gurpreet Sahota as Chief Architect of Cyber Security. He was most recently employed by Blackberry as Principal Architect of Cyber Security.

Cohn & Wolfe, New York - Gary Goldhammer named as EVP, Digital Innovation Group, U.S. Prior, he served Hill + Knowlton as the U.S. Chief Digital Strategist.

Dnc Services Corporation, Washington, D.C. - Tom Perez announced that Bob Lord is joining as the Chief Security Officer. Bob was most recently the Chief Information Security Officer at Yahoo.

CRF Health, Pennsylvania - CRF Health appointed former Novartis veteran and eClinical Quality Assurance and Data Integrity Specialist, Tom Haag, as VP, Quality Assurance. 

iLink Systems, Washington - iLink Systems announced the hiring of Mr. Naveen Rajkumar as their new EVP & Chief Information Technology Officer. Prior to joining iLink, Naveen spent 8 years at Onvia as the SVP and CIO.

ForgeRock US, California - ForgeRock appointed Peter Barker as chief product officer. Barker joins ForgeRock from Oracle, where he served as SVP and GM of the Identity Management and Security business.

Liquid Measurement Systems, Vermont - Mark Connors of Colchester, has been named as CTO.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, Ohio - Evelyn Magas was promoted to SVP and CIO. Magas began her career with the Cleveland Reserve Bank in 1985. She was appointed assistant VP in 2008, with responsibility for the departments business technology services and information management.

Belcan Corporation, Ohio - Belcan announced that Jas. Powell has joined as CTO for Enterprise IT for its Belcan Government Services segment. Former Director of Industry Engagement for Global Military and National Governments at Riverbed Technologies.

TIBCO Software, California - Nelson Petracek has been promoted to fill the role of global CTO. Most recently, he led the Strategic Enablement Group, managing a team focused on various areas of innovation, including cloud, low-code applications, blockchain, and natural language processing.

Kroll, New York - Kroll appointed MD Benedetto Demonte in an expanded role of North America Leader for Kroll's Cyber Security and Investigations Practice. 

Veeam Software, Ohio - Veeam Software announced that Ivan Skerl has been appointed CIO. Skerl joins Veeam from The Brock Group where he served as VP, IT and CIO.

Home Point Financial Corporation, Michigan - Home Point Financial Corporation named Bill Shuler CIO. Bill previously served as President of WPS Advisors.

Infoblox, California - Infoblox appointed Brad Bell as CIO of the company. His most recent role was with Microsoft where he led the Global Infrastructure and Service Management/Support function at Microsoft.

Catalyst Semiconductor, California - Catalyst has named Eric Willis to be VP of enterprise solutions. Before joining Catalyst, Willis was director of product development at DiscoverReady.

Manhattan Telecommunications Corporation of New Jersey, New York - MetTel appointed Dr. Curtis Levinson as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for company as well as its Federal team. Levinson continues to serve as US Cyber Defense Advisor to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

Kobie Marketing, Florida - Disney veteran Larry Roos joined as CIO.

Henry Ford Health System, Michigan - Henry Ford Health System has appointed Paul Browne CIO and SVP. He is currently the CIO and SVP of Applied Informatics for Tenet Healthcare.

Dallas Independent School District, Texas - Jack Kelanic joined as CTO. Former director of information technology for the city of Tacoma.

Europe, Middle East & Africa 

National Grid plc, United Kingdom - National Grid plc has named Lisa Lambert to a new post as SVP and Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at National Grid Ventures. Joins from The Westly Group, a clean technology private venture capital firm.

Merck, Germany - Merck appointed Dirk Toepfer as the new CIO. Former CEO of the IT service company Metro Systems.

Rexel, France - Rexel appointed Nathalie Wright as Group Digital and IT Transformation Director. Before joining Rexel, Nathalie Wright was VP Software of IBM France.

Emirates NBD Bank PJSC, United Arab Emirates - Miguel Rio Tinto has been appointed CIO to lead the Group's Information Technology division. Tinto's prior role was with McKinsey & Company's Iberia office where he was a partner responsible for major IT and digital transformations for financial institutions across Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
Evans Munyuki has been appointed as chief digital officer (CDO) to lead the Group's newly established Digital Office. Munyuki undertook multiple CDO, CIO and P&L business leadership roles at Barclays Africa and IBM (USA and Africa).

TDC, Denmark - Michael Moyell Juul, Senior EVP and Head of the business unit Online Brands and member of TDC' Corporate Management Team will for the present also be acting in the role as Chief Digital Officer and Head of Digital. 

Aker Solutions, Norway - Aker Solutions hired Are Follesdal Tjonn to head new Software House. Follesdal Tjonn has extensive experience in software development for the energy, maritime and finance industries, most recently as CEO of DNV GL's software business.

N Brown Group plc, United Kingdom - N Brown has appointed Adam Warne as CIO. Former group IT director at

Laird PLC, United Kingdom - Laird PLC appointed Mike Bell to the role of CTO. He most recently served as EVP of Devices & IoT at Canonical Ltd, the computer software company.

The Rank Group, United Kingdom - Tthe group appointed Phil Moyes as CIO. Phil has most recently worked with various private equity firms on a number of ventures since leaving William Hill where he was group CIO until 2016.

Santa Fe Group, Denmark - Santa Fe Relocation has appointed Graeme Howard as CIO. Graeme joined Santa Fe Relocation in February 2017, after a successful 17-year career with Motorola.

Gurit Holding, Switzerland - Gurit Holding AG announced that Dr. Emiliano Frulloni will join Gurit as  CTO. Joins Gurit from Solvay.

Mimecast, United Kingdom - Mimecast Limited announced Janet Levesque was appointed the SVP of Systems, Risk and Security. Most recently, Janet was the Chief Information Security Officer at RSA, the Security Division of Dell/EMC. 

Talend, France - Talend announced it has named Eric Johnson as its CIO. Johnson is the former CIO of DocuSign, where he built the company’s IT vision and infrastructure design, and led its global organization. 

Global Gaming 555 AB, Sweden - Global Gaming appointed Mark Wadsworth as Chief Product Officer (CPO) to drive the focus on innovation and agility in the development of the products. Mark is MD (MD) for Malta operation.


Evogene, Israel - Mark Kapel who joined Evogene in 2005 and currently serves as the company’s Director of Information Technologies & Data Management, will be appointed EVP Technology.

Sompo Holdings, Japan - Masahiro Hamada promoted as Group Chief Strategy Officer, Group CIO, and Managing Executive Officer from his previous role of Executive Officer, GM, Office of Group CEO. Shinichi Urakawa retires as Group CIO, Managing Executive Officer.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, Taiwan - The company promoted R&D Organization Senior Director of N3 Platform Development Division Dr. Michael Wu to VP, Research & Development / Technology Development.
The company also promoted R&D Organization, Senior Director of Pathfinding Division Dr. Min Cao to VP, Research & Development / Technology Development.

Singapore Telecommunications, Singapore - Singtel has appointed Arthur Wong to the newly-created position of CEO for global cyber security, effective immediately. Wong joins Singtel from DXC Technology, where he served as SVP and GM of its cyber security business. 

Nomura Holdings, Japan - Chris Shilakes joined Nomura as a MD in the San Francisco office, heading Software Banking within the Business Services & Technology Group.

JGC Corporation, Japan - Takuya Hanada promoted as Executive Officer, Chief Digital Officer (CDO) from his current position Executive Officer, GM, Corporate Administrative & Financial Affairs Division, GM, Talent & Organization Development Department, GM, Business Development Division, Infrastructure Division.
The company appointed Yutaka Yamanaka as Executive Officer, CTO from his current position Advisor, GM, Process Technology Division.

Vakrangee, India - Sanjay Nandwana have been designated as CTO. Sanjay Nandwana joined as SVP- Information Technology.

Philippine National Bank, Philippines - Philippine National Bank named Roland V. Oscuro as Chief Security Officer and Head of Enterprise Security Group in concurrent capacity as Chief Information Security Officer.

SpeedCast International, Hong Kong - SpeedCast International Limited appointed John Truschinger as CIO. Most recently held the position of SVP and CIO for Transocean until 2015. 

Vista Group International, New Zealand - Group CEO Murray Holdaway will take up the position of Chief Product Officer (CPO) for Vista Group. 

Carat China, China - Carat China promoted Eric Weng as its CTO and head of e-commerce. Weng has joined the company in 2014. Previously, he also worked for Omnicom Media Group, China, Madhouse, ZenithOptimedia and ACNielsen.

Nearma, Australia - Nearmap appointed Tom Celinski as EVP-Technology and Engineering. He was co-founder and CEO of Avega System.

Future FinTech Group, China - Future FinTech Group announced appointment of Zhi Yan as CTO. Yan is experienced in blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies and has been with the Company since 2011.

The9, China - Yue Dong has joined The9 recently as the new president and CTO. Yue Dong has been acting as the CTO in various artificial intelligence, big data and blockchain related projects for two years.

Dora Vell

Dora Vell is the Managing Partner of Vell Executive Search, a boutique executive search firm in Boston focused on recruiting technology executives and board members. Vell has successfully completed numerous board member and C-level executive searches, including CEOs, COOs, CIOs, and Vice Presidents - at both public and private companies.

Prior to founding the firm in 2005, Vell was a Partner at Heidrick & Struggles' Technology practice for seven years.  Before her career in executive search, she worked at IBM for 11 years, managing software engineering organizations of 100 people and software sales organizations with revenues of $150 million. She has also served as an executive assistant to the CEO of IBM Canada for one year.

Vell holds seven worldwide software patents. She has published several Business of Leadership reports on governance and leadership and has been quoted in numerous articles including The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Business Week, Fortune, Agenda Week, MSNBC, Mass High Tech, the OPUS for the World Economic Forum, Boston Business Journal, The Globe & Mail, CIO Magazine, and IEEE.
